Omniva temporarily suspends delivery of shipments to Middle Eastern countries

As of today, 3 March, Omniva is temporarily suspending the acceptance of shipments for delivery to countries in the Middle East.

It is temporarily not possible to send shipments to the following countries: United Arab Emirates (including Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Bahrain, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

The restriction applies to both commercial parcels and postal items (letters and postal parcels).

“Unfortunately, we are seeing air transport to the region being suspended due to the threat of military activity in the airspace. Many flights have already been cancelled or are in the process of being cancelled, and Omniva is currently unable to guarantee delivery of shipments. Therefore, similarly to other Western countries, we are suspending deliveries until traffic stabilises,” explained Sven Kukemelk, Chief Commercial Officer of Omniva.

Shipments that have already been accepted from senders but have not yet been dispatched will be stored by Omniva until they can be sent. Shipments that have already been dispatched will be delivered to their destination at the earliest opportunity; however, delivery times may be delayed.

Omniva will announce when deliveries to the Middle East can be resumed.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
